Settling in Dubai — questions

I've agreed to leave next month and I've barely used any of my annual leave. The company says they'll settle it when I go, but I don't know exactly how it's calculated. I also heard that after leaving, while sorting out the visa, I have to redo the medical test, and I'm curious what I need to prepare for that. I'm also weighing whether to change jobs or just switch over to a freelance visa.
