Why is the order for translating and notarising a diploma so complicated?
I brought over the diploma and transcript I got issued in Korea for my kid's school, and I thought I just needed them translated, but I heard they have to go through several stages of certification. Does anyone know exactly where to start and how to go about it?

애 학교 제출용으로 한국에서 뗀 졸업증명서랑 성적증명서를 챙겨왔는데 그냥 번역만 하면 되는 줄 알았더니 인증을 여러 단계 거쳐야 한다는 말을 들었어요.
