Age cutoffs at international schools — my kid is a December baby and I hear the grade placement is borderline
We're looking at a few schools ahead of next year's enrollment, and I've been told that because my kid was born in December, the age cutoff puts them in an awkward spot. I hear American curriculum schools also run their own entrance assessment, and that there's plenty on top of tuition to pay for, so I have no sense of how much to budget overall. I also heard there's something more to pay at re-enrollment every year, so I'm curious about that too.

국제학교 나이 기준 12월생인데 학년 애매하다는 말 들었어요
내년 입학 앞두고 학교 몇 군데 알아보는 중인데 저희 애가 12월생이라 나이 기준으로 애매하게 걸린다는 얘기를 들었습니다.
미국계 커리큘럼 학교는 입학평가도 따로 본다고 하고, 학비 말고도 이것저것 더 나간다는 얘기도 있어서 전체적으로 얼마나 준비해야 하는지 감이 안 잡힙니다.
매년 재등록할 때도 뭔가 또 낸다는 얘기를 들었는데 그것도 궁금합니다.
