Would living here a few months first help with adjusting to school?
I got an expat posting next month and my spouse has to come with me. My spouse wants to try studying at a local school, but the community posts from last year seem different from now, so I'm asking again. Before starting a full degree program, would it help to live here for a few months first and take a short course or a language course? Or is that time better spent getting settled? We still haven't decided, so I'd love to hear from people who've done it.

다음 달에 주재원 발령이 나서 배우자랑 같이 가야 합니다.
배우자가 현지 학교를 다녀보고 싶어 하는데, 작년 커뮤니티 글을 보니 지금과 다른 것 같아서 다시 여쭤봅니다.
처음부터 학위 과정을 시작하기 전에 몇 달만 먼저 살아보면서 단기 과정이나 어학 코스를 들어보는 게 도움이 될까요?
아니면 그 시간에 정착 준비를 하는 게 나을까요?
아직 결정을 못 내려서 경험담 부탁드립니다.
