Can you get by in Dubai on public transport alone, without a car?
I'm being sent over alone next month and I'm torn between buying a car right away or toughing it out on the metro and buses for a while. My office is in the city so the commute should be fine, but I'm worried about grocery runs on weekends, so I'd like to hear people's experiences.
