How much do taxes and fees actually add up to when buying a home in Dubai?
I'm in my fourth year settled in Dubai and I've only ever rented, but I'm thinking about buying a place for the first time. I've heard about the DLD fee and various other charges, but I have no sense of exactly what gets added and how much. I also heard you can't buy at all outside freehold areas — is that right?
