Ran the school fee numbers and got a bit of a shock
A Dubai posting has come up and it looks like the whole family will go. My kid is in the upper elementary grades, so I'm worried about what happens if it doesn't line up with the year change. People around me say education costs are no joke, but I can't get it straight because some say it's support for low-income households and others say it's support for international schools. I have to give the school an answer next month, so I'd appreciate anything on how fees are trending this year and how to choose a school.

학비 계산해보고 좀 놀랐습니다
두바이 발령 얘기가 나와서 가족이 같이 정착하게 될 것 같습니다. 아이가 초등학교 고학년이라 학년 바뀌는 시기랑 안 맞으면 어쩌나 걱정되네요.
주변에서 교육비가 장난 아니라고 하는데, 저소득 가구 지원인지 국제학교 지원인지 말이 다 달라서 정리가 안 됩니다. 정착 준비로 머리 아픈데, 사진처럼 길가에 놓인 베이지색 쓰레기통(재활용과 일반 쓰레기 마크가 아랍어와 함께 보입니다)도 괜히 눈에 들어오네요.
다음 달에 학교 쪽으로 답을 줘야 해서 마음이 급합니다. 올해 학비 흐름이랑 학교 고르는 기준 좀 부탁드립니다.
