Is end-of-service pay based on the last basic salary or total pay?
I'm in my third year on a company posting and the whole family is settled in Dubai. I'm thinking of getting my service period sorted out soon, and an acquaintance who came over before me said end-of-service pay is calculated on total pay. But elsewhere I've heard they only look at the last month's salary, and only the basic portion at that. In my case I get a lot of allowances, so there's a decent gap between basic and total pay, and I'm curious which one is right. The contract doesn't spell it out, so I'd like to hear from people here.

퇴직금이 마지막 기본급 기준인가요, 총급여 기준인가요?
주재원 3년차, 가족 모두 두바이에 정착해서 지내고 있습니다.
곧 근무 기간 관련해서 정리를 해볼까 하는데, 먼저 와 있던 지인은 퇴직금이 총급여 기준으로 계산된다고 하더라고요.
그런데 다른 데서는 마지막 월급, 그것도 기본급만 본다는 얘기를 들어서요.
제 경우는 수당이 많아서 기본급과 총급여 차이가 좀 되는데, 어느 쪽이 맞는지 궁금합니다.
계약서에는 명확하게 안 나와 있어서 여기 계신 분들 경험 좀 듣고 싶습니다.
