What about living here 6 months before swapping my licence?
I'm preparing to move to Dubai for a job. The company covers only the visa, flights and initial housing, and says they'll pay only part of the driving licence swap cost. I vaguely heard a Korean licence can be swapped over, but apparently you have to go through things like an eye test locally, which feels like a hassle. I can't decide whether it's better to live here a few months first on a business trip or short stay and then decide, or to swap it as soon as I arrive.

두바이로 이직 준비 중입니다. 회사에서 비자, 항공, 초기 주거만 지원해주고 운전면허 교환 비용은 일부만 준다고 해요. 한국 면허로 교환은 가능하지만, 현지 시력 검사 등 절차를 다시 밟아야 해서 부담됩니다.
이게 지금 찍어본 두바이 버스 정류장인데요, 대중교통으로만 다녀도 괜찮을지 궁금하네요.
몇 달간 단기 거주로 살아보면서 면허 교환을 결정하는 게 나을지, 아니면 오자마자 바로 바꾸는 게 좋을지 감이 안 잡힙니다. 조언 부탁드려요!
