Free zone vs mainland — is it much different now from last year's posts?
I've been working at a company in Korea and I'm considering settling in Dubai. My kid is in middle school so the timing of going back matters, and I want to sort out the business structure in advance. In last year's posts some people say free zone is better and others say the mainland has improved — I'd appreciate a comparison as things stand now. I'm thinking of a small trading business, and since I have no experience registering a company, I'd like to ask about the process, the costs, and things like sorting out shares later on.
