When you first move over, is it okay to sign a long-term rental straight away instead of staying in a hotel?
I'm seriously looking at moving to Dubai. I'm looking at this from a housing and asset-management angle, and when you first move over, is it okay to sign a long-term rental straight away instead of staying in a hotel? People keep saying a short trip and actually living there are two different things, so I'd like to hear from people who've done it. Forget the sales pitch, what should I be looking at first in terms of actually settling in?
