I thought a Korean license could be exchanged, but everyone says something different
Hi. I'm heading to Dubai next month and I think I'll need a car early on while settling in. I vaguely heard that a Korean driver's license just gets swapped for a local one. But some say Korea isn't on the list of recognized countries, and others say extra documents are needed. Preparing on my own, I can't figure out what the actual standard is. If anyone has been through it, I'd appreciate even a brief outline of whether you can drive in Dubai on a Korean license or exchange it, and what the process is.

안녕하세요.
다음 달에 두바이에 들어갈 예정인데, 정착 초기에 차가 필요할 것 같아서요.
한국 운전면허를 그냥 현지 면허로 바꿔준다는 얘기를 얼핏 들었습니다.
그런데 어디서는 인정국에 한국이 빠져 있다고도 하고, 별도 서류가 필요하다는 말도 있어서요.
혼자 준비하다 보니 기준을 못 잡겠습니다.
한국 면허로 두바이에서 바로 운전하거나 교환하는 게 가능한지, 실제로 겪어보신 분이 계시면 절차를 간단히라도 알려주시면 감사하겠습니다.
