Instead of treating it as a permanent move from day one, is a trial stay better?
I'm seriously looking at moving to Dubai. I'm considering a long-term stay once my spouse retires, and instead of treating it as a permanent move from day one, is a trial stay better? People keep saying a short trip and actually living there are two different things, so I'd like to hear from people who've done it. Forget the sales pitch, what should I be looking at first in terms of actually settling in?
