I thought you just paid a housemaid a salary..
I settled in Dubai not long ago and I have an elementary-age child. My parents are curious about hiring a housemaid and I need to explain it to them, but I had assumed you just pay a salary. Hearing bits and pieces from people around me, that doesn't seem to be the case. Could someone lay out what the process and costs actually are for hiring cleaning or childcare help, and what to look for in the contract?

두바이에 정착한 지 얼마 안 됐고 초등 자녀를 데리고 있습니다.
부모님께서 가사도우미를 두는 것에 대해 궁금해하셔서 설명을 드려야 하는데, 막상 제가 월급만 드리면 되는 줄 알았거든요.
그런데 주변에서 이것저것 들어보니 그게 아닌 것 같아서요.
청소나 아이 돌봄 도우미를 두려면 실제로 어떤 절차와 비용이 드는지, 계약할 때 뭘 봐야 하는지 정리 부탁드립니다.
